Topic of the TC
The Internet is becoming more and more a space used for learning and training, building personal and professional relations, promoting yourself and find other individuals/companies with similar personal/professional interests.
But unfortunately the Internet can have also other uses: it can diffuse fears, threats, intimidation, violence and hate speech: all those behaviors, if not prevented and contrasted, can lead to an escalation of hate, radicalization, violent actions and hate crimes online but also offline.
 
For all this reasons is very important, for educators, teachers, youth trainers and youth leaders, to be aware of the tools available  for combating hate speech online and offline and to be able to apply them in the everyday work.

Learning objectives 
This training course aims to:
 
- Strengthen a common understanding about what is considered "Hate Speech", in the online and offline dimension;
- Identify the differences between online and offline hate speech;
- Explore the social groups most targeted  by online hate speech in our contexts;
- Learn how to prevent, react and combat these kind of hate speech online;
- Learn how to use the online and educational tool available and accessible to all;
- Learn good practices form different countries that already implemented actions, activities, tools and strategies for enhancing critical thinking and media literacy, in particular in the field of preventing online hate speech.
 
The training course will last 5 days (with 2 travel days) . It is possible to support it with the Erasmus+ KA1-Adult education founds.
The course will be lead by 2 trainers expert in non formal education and really experienced in the topic.

6th - 12th  March 2017
13th – 19th March 2017
th  – 9th April 2017
15th 21 th May 2017
22 th - 28 th  May 2017
12th -18th June 2017
19th – 25th June 2017
th – 9th July 2017
10th – 16th July 2017

Type of Certification of Attendance Awarded
- Certificate of attendance including description of training content and time input.
- Europass Mobility Certificate (to be issued by the applicant's NA).

Fee
It is possible to support it with the Erasmus+ KA1-Adult education founds.
The course fee is 350 €;
Is possible to require packages including food and accomodation cost.

Trainers
The course will be lead by 2 ouf our expert trainers in non formal education and really experienced in the topic.
