EVS in PA.G.U.R.O. – Participate Grow Unite Rebuild and Open 

EVS in PAGURO is a EVS project that takes place in Casapesenna (Caserta Province) for 6 month, in a youth centre and hostel confiscated to camorra. The activities of the project are: supporting communication and social media of the youth centre; helping with tasks connected to the hosteling activities; gardening activities; promotional initiatives and campaigns for the local development; paint the walls that separate the building to the street with colourful murales inspired at topics connected with fight against the mafia; supporting and implementing a campaign on environment protection and urban redevelopment that include a requalification of a public area and organize events and initiatives involving the local community. The general objective of the project is to make the youth centre a “legality lab” and show to the local community how our territory can develop without the limits put by organised crime. But also we think that volunteers can live a unique experience in a land that too often is marginalised and seen as periphery of Europe.
